The Sweet Life in Paris

LOCATION:

Paris, France

I came to Paris knowing there would be no shortage of pastries and bread, but it seemed like there were vendors selling goodies on every corner. Some of my new favorites: macaroons and crepes.

They not only taste good, they look so pretty in the windows!

Banana Nutella here, but my fave was butter, sugar, and lemon.

Crepes for dinner? Oui!

Our last day in Paris also resulted in a few other discoveries - this cool bridge where people put locks with the names of the person they love, the rather strange practice of feeding pigeons by hand, and the area called Montmartre, filled with artists at work.

There are a few lock bridges like this in Paris, one was the location for a final scene in Sex and the City.

Just an average day with pigeons on my arm, NBD.

Fantastic artwork!

I also want to give a shout out to the Bastille, a monument constructed to symbolize the prison that was destroyed in the revolution. Our hotel was just down the street, so it was our beacon of home for our time in Paris.

Whenever we saw this, we knew we were almost home.
